What is Reality Capture?

Reality Capture is the process of using laser scanners or high-end drones and cameras to capture real locations using a combination of point cloud and camera capture to create an accurate 3D representation of a real-world location. The application of these tools can be used in a variety of fields, ranging from Construction/Architecture where you can replicate a building and take measurements in programs such as Revit or AutoCAD, or movie or game development where you can convert these high definition laser scans to 3D Models and textures to be used in programs such as Unity3D or the Unreal Engine.
